I'm shopping for lightweight all-purpose trail knife and would like suggestions since there are so many brands and types.

I know it should have a lockable blade with a square back. Other than that, I'm clueless as to quality and durability. Any suggestions?

I don't think they are going to start making the 5 again I'm afraid. They had discontinued that model a year before Camilus went under. I love it though... but it does look like a big kitchen knife.

Ok, I don't need a big knife, I got Brandon with me who always has a big knife. Here's what I carry and I've never needed more.

Greg, G.I. Joe called... he wants his knife back...jk lol

It is a cute little thing and weighs just about the same as one of the rivets in Brandon's knife. Go Joe! Damn I spent a lot of money on G.I. Joes for Brandon so he could cut them up with his big knife.

That's silly... I didn't cut them up. Ok, yeah I did but not with a knife. A railroad spike worked well for amputations. And a magnifying glass for sucking chest wounds.

yeah, because you've got me with you to do any real work...

Exactly. I would never deny such an obvious fact. But then again I'm forced to carry the beer.

Also... that's not a knife. This is a knife:

And this is Brandon drinking the beer I had to carry so he could carry a big knife.

Good looking knife btw. You're getting better at being a knife maker.
